Con Cora is launching its new initiative of Becas Con Cora scholarships in collaboration with Geek Girls. The beneficiaries will be women from Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
Following the Con Cora Latam Tour and in line with one of the foundation’s key missions, female empowerment, the foundation is introducing a new edition of Becas Con Cora, offering educational opportunities to four Latin American countries where the tour took place.
In collaboration with Geek Girls, an organization that for the past 11 years has offered programs, courses, and campaigns integrating women and girls into the use, adoption, and creation of technology, Con Cora is launching STEM scholarships in four countries: Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. Applications will be open from the last week of August through the first week of September, targeting women between 18 and 35 years old for this virtual training.
Through these scholarships, beneficiaries will receive training in the following areas:
Geek Lecture: Focused on topics such as female empowerment, leadership, digital thinking, content creation, and more
Technologies 4.0: Including certifications in cutting-edge areas like Blockchain, Data Science, UX/UI, Artificial Intelligence, Programming, Cybersecurity, Gaming, Languages, Digital World, Business, Innovation, and Design, among other STEM skills.
The goal of this program is to boost female participation in science and technology through fully-funded scholarships. The only requirements to apply are access to digital resources for virtual training and a desire to learn and grow in these fields.
