Chocó, Colombia

As the closing milestone of the Con Cora Tour 2025, Con Cora Foundation visited the department of Chocó alongside its founder, Karol G, to support community processes led by women from the Gender Commission of the Major Community Council of COCOMACIA. This visit marked an important step in building a shared path aimed at strengthening female leadership and community well-being in the region.

During the visit, the Con Cora team traveled along the Atrato River to reach the communities of Barranco, Sanceno, and Calle Quibdó, where spaces for connection, listening, and recognition were created with women who work daily to build more equitable environments for their families and communities. These encounters provided an opportunity to learn firsthand about their organizational processes, the challenges they face, and the actions they lead through community leadership and collective care.

The Foundation is advancing a partnership with the Éxito Foundation to provide nutritional support, especially during the holiday season, with the aim of helping ensure adequate nutrition for children during this period.

The work in Chocó is part of Con Cora Foundation’s commitment to education, closing gender gaps, and the comprehensive well-being of communities, recognizing that social transformation requires presence, active listening, and long-term processes that acknowledge the strength of local women leaders, their knowledge, and their ability to drive change across generations.

With this visit, Con Cora Foundation, together with Karol G, reaffirms its commitment to walking hand in hand with communities, strengthening local networks, and joining efforts to build more just, dignified, and equitable futures for all women and girls.
