In recognition of the Day of Care and Support, the Con Cora Foundation, in partnership with the Fundación Santiago Corazón, carried out the project “Hacemos Latir Corazones” at the Clínica Cardio VID.

This initiative aims to strengthen support for children with congenital heart conditions and their families through a comprehensive care model that recognizes caregiving as a shared experience.

Fundación Santiago Corazón works to support the well-being of children with heart conditions and their caregivers by providing emotional, social, and logistical support throughout their medical journeys, with a focus on humanizing the hospital experience.

As part of this partnership, several actions were implemented to improve the hospitalization experience, including the activation of a pediatric playroom, the distribution of basic hygiene kits, meal support for caregivers, and ongoing family accompaniment. Beyond the intervention itself, this project places women caregivers at the center, recognizing their essential role and reminding us that caregiving should not be an individual burden, but rather a collective commitment that allows us to support one another as a society.
