Con Cora Delivers at Colegio Arenys de Mar!

Location: Blanquizal Neighborhood, Medellín
Date: October 21, 2024

In 2022, the Colegio Arenys de Mar, located in Medellín, faced a critical situation when a flood from the Iguaná Creek caused severe damage to its infrastructure, leading to the temporary closure of the educational institution. This natural disaster affected students, teachers, and administrative staff, leaving the school community in a state of uncertainty.

In response to this adversity, the organization Con Cora decided to step in and lead the process of rebuilding the school. With a focus on ensuring the continuity of students’ education and promoting their holistic development, Con Cora took on the challenge of financing and creating new educational and artistic spaces within the institution.

The reconstruction project went beyond repairing the damage caused by the flood; it also included the creation of safe and creative spaces that foster quality education and personal growth. “I am deeply proud to be part of this project and to contribute to bringing positive change to a community that is so close to my heart,” said Karol G, founder of Con Cora Foundation.

To celebrate the reopening of the school, Con Cora organized a day filled with games, activities, and surprises to welcome students, teachers, parents, and members of the school community. Now, 600 boys and girls will be able to continue their education in a renovated, modern, and safe environment, where they can keep dreaming and achieving their goals.

With this initiative, Con Cora reaffirms its commitment to the education and well-being of future generations, proving that together we can build a better future.
