Location: Space Center Houston
Date: October 28 to November 1, 2024
After five months of learning, the second cohort of the “Ella es Astronauta” program successfully completed their training cycle. This year, young women between the ages of 11 and 17 from Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia had the opportunity to dive into the world of science, engineering, entrepreneurship, and more, exploring various fields within STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).

The graduation ceremony took place at the Space Center Houston at NASA, where the participants had the chance to meet prominent figures from the space industry, attend inspiring talks, and tour NASA’s impressive facilities. However, one of the most special moments was on October 31st, when the young women celebrated Con Cora Day, a unique cultural event where they immersed themselves in a classic American tradition: Halloween. During the day, they enjoyed activities, surprises, and moments of fun that allowed them to strengthen their bonds, celebrate their personal and academic growth, and share unforgettable experiences.
This cycle not only marked the conclusion of an important chapter but also opened up a world of possibilities for these young women and their communities. Now, with the new skills they have acquired, they are equipped to continue dreaming and building a future full of opportunities. The journey continues!
